CAMP VESELKA

CHAPEL

Hold Mass or a prayer service in an outdoor chapel, creating a peaceful space for reflection surrounded by nature.

Nestled in the woods, you will find an open-air cedar roof chapel that can be used for religious purposes.

Veselka’s Chapel of St. Volodymyr and Olga is a traditional Ukrainian wooden church structure constructed in 1972 by volunteers, under the religious guidance of Father Yaroslav Benesh, Veselka Chaplain.

Later that year, the Chapel was consecrated by Cardinal Josyf Slipyj, Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and Bishop Isadore Boretsky, with numerous priests, community leaders and hundreds of youth in attendance.

In 1988, a large wooden cross was installed to commemorate 1,000 years of Christianity in Ukraine.
